Reduced charges for calling HMRC

HMRC recently announced plans to move away from 0845 numbers to 03 numbers. 03 numbers are non-geographic but are usually charged at the same rates as 01 and 02 numbers and are free with some telephone packages.

With effect from 28 August 2013 the following helplines have been changed to 03 numbers:

The existing 0845 numbers will continue to work for around 18 months. Other 0845 numbers will change in the coming months as part of a rolling program to give customers cheaper access to HMRC helplines.
